The Boch Center is guardian of the historic Wang and Shubert Theatres as well as home to a living music museum, the Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame. A tour of the Wang Theatre is a 60-80 minute experience that takes you behind the scenes of the history and day to day operation of New England’s Largest Non-Profit Performing Arts Center. This ornately designed movie palace will make you feel like you are no longer in Boston the moment you step through its doors. Standing on one of the largest stages in the United States is a true highlight of the experience. In addition to the theatre’s rich beauty and history, there are over five exhibits throughout the theatre celebrating music history and demonstrating that Boston is a music city. This guided tour has a little something for everyone and will shine a unique light on the history of Boston. Although the tour does make frequent stops, there is a lot of walking involved and you will be on your feet for the majority of an hour.
