Steve is the author of "The Age of Sail", three novels that follow two New England families during the age of sea battles, smugglers, and notoriously competitive clipper ship captains: Privateer, Secrets of Mary Celeste, and Clipper Wars. All his books will be available for purchase and signed by the author.
Secrets of Mary Celeste, winner of a "best fiction of the year" (2024), tells a fictional account of a rescue attempt of the Mary Celeste, a sailing ship discovered drifting with no sign of the crew, including the Captain, his wife, and their two-year-old daughter. The mystery surrounding their mid-ocean disappearance remains one of the world's most famous unsolved mysteries.
Our Conversations With… Speaker Series is to be henceforth known as the Karen Garvin Conversations With.. Speaker Series in memory of Boston Village member, Karen Garvin. Karen was integral to the creation of the speaker series and devoted many years to planning and hosting the program for her fellow members. We hope to carry on her legacy with the continued success of this program.
